These rocks were laid down about 250 million years ago as the continent of Pangea broke up.
Titanic forces over those millions of years gave us what we have now, spectacular scenery.
This is how we became a UNESCO World Heritage Geosite.
About Alan Norsworthy
Alan Norsworthy is an experienced photographer with a career spanning many years. In England he was a technical photographer using black and white film and working in a traditional darkroom. Alan has won numerous awards for his work which can be found all across Canada, the US and Europe and Alan has settled in the Canadian Atlantic Provinces and made Parrsboro, Nova Scotia his home.
